Does Dunnes Stores Deliver on Sundays [2026 Guide]

Whether Dunnes Stores delivers on Sundays depends entirely on the type of items you are purchasing. While fashion, apparel, and homeware orders do not qualify for Sunday home drops or in-store Click & Collect collections, Dunnes Stores online grocery deliveries do operate seven days a week, including Sundays. Because Dunnes Stores divides its retail ecosystem between parcel-freight logistics for departmental merchandise and local retail fulfillment for chilled food, delivery schedules follow distinct operating procedures.

Shoppers purchasing pantry staples and fresh groceries can easily secure weekend time slots, whereas customers awaiting clothing or home furnishings must wait for standard business days.

Fashion and Homewares (DPD)

Dunnes Stores fulfills online orders for fashion, footwear, beauty, and homeware goods across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland through its logistics partner, DPD. Under this courier contract, Dunnes Stores guarantees delivery within two working days for orders submitted before 8:00 PM Sunday through Friday.

However, DPD does not operate routine residential parcel deliveries on Sundays for Dunnes Stores shipments. Deliveries dispatched late on Friday afternoon are processed over the weekend across regional distribution centers and scheduled for final doorstep arrival on Monday morning.

This operational restriction applies equally to Click & Collect orders sent to local retail branches. While Dunnes Stores brick-and-mortar storefronts remain open for retail trading on Sundays, DPD does not deliver inbound transfer parcels to stores on Sundays or public bank holidays.

Consequently, customers ordering fashion or decorative homeware over the weekend will only see their packages marked ready for collection once standard courier transit resumes on the following business day. International dispatches to the United Kingdom and Europe follow standard cross-border working days, meaning weekend dispatch times similarly pause until Monday.

Grocery Deliveries

In contrast to parcel fulfillment, Dunnes Stores Grocery provides comprehensive Sunday delivery services through its official digital supermarket platform (dunnesstoresgrocery.com) and mobile application. Online grocery operations run seven days a week, offering customers designated two-hour delivery windows between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

Shoppers can reserve delivery times days in advance or place weekend orders up until the cut-off time on Saturday evening for Sunday morning drop-offs. These deliveries are picked directly by personal shoppers inside local retail branches and brought directly to residential doorsteps using dedicated temperature-controlled vehicles.

Additionally, Dunnes Stores partners with rapid-delivery platform Buymie to facilitate same-day grocery drop-offs in supported metropolitan areas, including Dublin, Cork, Galway, and Limerick.

Through Buymie integration, personal shoppers pick and pack fresh foods, bakery goods, and household essentials on Sundays, completing doorstep deliveries in as little as one hour depending on slot availability. Sunday grocery orders also qualify for Dunnes Stores’ signature €10 off €50 Shop & Save promotional vouchers and accrue standard VALUEclub points, ensuring digital shoppers receive the same savings available during in-store supermarket visits.
