Does Big W Deliver on Sundays [2026-2027]
Yes, BIG W does deliver on Sundays, but it strictly depends on the fulfillment method chosen at checkout and your delivery address. Sunday deliveries are primarily facilitated through BIG W’s on-demand Same Day Delivery network, which runs seven days a week across supported metropolitan areas.
Standard residential parcels sent through traditional national postal routes typically do not arrive on Sundays, as regular parcel mail distribution pauses over the weekend. Customers shopping online can readily check weekend fulfillment options by entering their local delivery postcode directly on the product listing or cart page.
Same-Day Delivery, Standard Delivery, Check Availability
BIG W offers distinct delivery streams to suit different timelines and cart sizes. Same-Day Delivery operates seven days a week in selected locations, dispatching eligible in-stock items directly from your nearest store via courier partners like DoorDash.
To receive a delivery on Sunday, shoppers must place their order before midday; orders placed after the midday cutoff will arrive the following day.
Standard Delivery handles general catalog orders originating from fulfillment warehouses. Because standard shipping relies on commercial freight and postal schedules, weekend transit focuses on dispatch staging rather than Sunday doorstep drop-offs. To check availability for your household, simply input your suburb or postcode in the online store locator tool to view active delivery dates.
How long does BIG W usually take to deliver?
Delivery timeframes for BIG W orders depend on order size, product origin, and final shipping destination. Same-Day Delivery brings your items within a few hours on the day of order placement, provided it is submitted before 12:00 PM.
Standard home delivery typically takes 1 to 4 business days for major metropolitan hubs like Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Regional and remote destinations generally require 3 to 10 business days for parcel transit. Large bulky items, such as outdoor furniture or nursery gear, may require additional freight processing time before final delivery scheduling.
What delivery service does BIG W offer?
BIG W provides a multifaceted fulfillment network designed for convenience and speed. Their core home shipping services include Same-Day Delivery for everyday essentials and toys, alongside Standard Delivery for nationwide parcel dispatch through major logistics operators like Australia Post and specialized courier contractors.
In addition to doorstep shipping, BIG W offers flexible collection services across physical stores, including free In-Store Pick up at the service desk and contactless Direct to Boot pick up at selected retail branches. Third-party marketplace sellers on BIG W Market manage their own dispatch services with variable tracking timelines.
