Sunday Delivery Hours
Checkers Sixty60 operates on Sundays and public holidays typically between 08:00 and 20:00 (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM). While app-wide delivery routes operate within this broad twelve-hour window, precise ordering cut-off times depend directly on the operating hours of your local participating Checkers store.
In most suburban zones, dispatch begins right at 08:00 AM, and final checkout orders for 60-minute delivery must generally be submitted before 19:00 (7:00 PM) to ensure picking, packing, and courier transit before evening closing. Customer support and help centre lines on 0800 00 6060 also remain fully active from 08:00 to 20:00 every Sunday to handle real-time delivery inquiries and order assistance.
Can I select a delivery time that suits me?
Yes, the Checkers Sixty60 app allows you to select a delivery time slot that fits your schedule.
When assembling your cart, the system automatically assigns the next available immediate delivery window, which aims to deliver your groceries within 60 minutes. However, on the Order Summary review screen, you can view, change, and reserve an alternate scheduled delivery window for later the same day or choose a convenient future time slot. This scheduled booking feature is especially practical on busy Sundays, allowing you to secure a morning or evening delivery slot before peak neighborhood shopping rushes exhaust available driver capacity.
How much does Checkers 60 charge for delivery?
Checkers Sixty60 charges a standard flat delivery fee per order, currently around R35 to R37 depending on prevailing network rates, regardless of the size or weight of your grocery basket. Unlike many competing on-demand couriers, Checkers Sixty60 does not add surge pricing, bad-weather surcharges, or peak weekend penalty fees for Sunday dispatches.
In addition, customers who subscribe to the Checkers Xtra Savings Plus program for R99 per month receive unlimited free deliveries on eligible orders, effectively eliminating per-order delivery charges on Sundays and throughout the entire month.
